Stanton D. Levenson Named to Super Lawyers 2024

At our firm, we’re proud of the uniquely collaborative approach we take to criminal defense cases. And while securing positive outcomes for our clients is the greatest reward of all, it’s never a bad thing to be recognized for the work we do. We’re proud to announce that this year, Stanton D. Levenson has been named a Super Lawyer for the 18th time.

What Makes a Lawyer a Super Lawyer?

Super Lawyers is a nationally recognized rating service and directory for top attorneys. Each year, the organization conducts a rigorous, patented selection process to identify the top 5% of lawyers in each state. The selection process is divided into four parts:

• Nomination: Lawyers can be nominated by a peer or identified by the Super Lawyers research department
• Independent Research: The in-house department evaluates candidates based on professional achievements and peer recognition
• Peer Evaluation: High-scoring candidates rate other attorneys in their practice area
• Final Selection: Candidates are grouped based on firm size, and 5% are named to Super Lawyers

Throughout the selection process, Super Lawyers evaluates candidates based on 12 indicators. These indicators are not all weighted equally, but each one addresses an aspect of peer recognition or professional achievement:

• Position within the law firm
• Verdicts and settlements
• Transactions
• Representative clients
• Professional association and bar activity
• Experience
• Honors and awards
• Community service and pro bono activities
• Writings and lectures
• Educational and employment background
• Special licenses and certifications
• Other notable achievements

In making the final selection, attorneys at large firms are compared against other large-firm attorneys, and attorneys at small firms are compared against small-firm attorneys. In each state, 5% of attorneys are named to Super Lawyers, and 2.5% are named to Rising Stars — a category for attorneys under 40 or with less than 10 years in practice.
